Joseph Koehler, Director of Engineering

As Director of Engineering Joey leads the design, testing, and manufacturing of the company’s mobility devices. With support from the Caltech Y, Joey launched the pilot program’s operations with the Transitions Foundation in the summer of 2008. In 2008, Joey was featured as one of LA’s top 10 most innovative nonprofit thinkers at USC’s first annual Social Innovation Fast Pitch Competition Previously, Joey has served in various engineering and product development roles at Micron Technology and Idealab’s Desktop Factory. He has also completed a financial internship with Applied Minds, and a Summer Research Fellowship in the lab of Rob Philips at Caltech. Joey is the 2005 winner of ME72, Caltech's interdisciplinary engineering contest. Joey has served as the President of the Blacker student house and Director of the Board of the Student Investment Fund at Caltech. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech.
